Note on Acronyms:
Throughout these documents the following acronyms are used ~
SSSA = Southwestern Social Science Association
SSQ = Social Science Quarterly
SwHA = Southwestern Historical Association.

For the Minutes -- click the year, you are interested in reviewing.  Note some of the Minutes have been modified for the sake of clarity and to assist the reader, e.g.,  complete names have been inserted upon the first mention of an individual replacing first or surnames, all first names have been replaced by surnames, affiliations have been added in parentheses at the first mention in the minutes.  Acronyms have been spelled out at the first usage in each year.

ARCHIVES:  The Archives of the Southwestern Social Science Association and its affiliates, including the Southwestern Historical Association, are housed in the Southwest Collection, Special Collections Library, Texas Technical University, Lubbock, Texas.  Visit their website -- and get information on the use of these and other papers in the collections.

The current working files of the Southwestern Historical Association are currently in the custody of the Secretary-Treasurer, Stephen J. Stillwell, jr., Adjunct Faculty, History Department, University of Texas at Arlington.  Any former officer in the Association who has an archival file is encouraged to send it to the Secretary-Treasurer to assist in 1) constructing this site and 2) preserving the history of our Association.  The current working files may be viewed with prior arrangement with the Secretary-Treasurer.  Go to the Executive Council page for complete contact information or Click "Contact Webmaster" below.
