The Chronicle of Historical Studies, published annually by the Southwestern Historical Association, welcomes submissions from all fields of history. Beyond solid documentation and readability, the major criteria for acceptance will be the value of the manuscript to a general audience. By going against the trend to specialize, we hope to initiate a dialogue among scholars and to help professors keep up to date with changing interpretations outside their primary field of interest.
