BOOK REVIEW GUIDELINES

 

  1. Book reviews should be typed and double-spaced with one-inch margins all around.  Submit one hard copy and a digital file in WordPerfect or Rich Text Format in Word.  The digital file can be submitted on a CD, data DVD, or email.  The hard copy can be emailed as well as an attachment.

 

  1. Manuscript length should be in the range of 750 to 1200 words.  Please do not go over the maximum length without first contacting the editor. 

 

  1. The book review should contain an overview of the scope, purpose, and content of the volume together with an analysis of the author’s success or failure to achieve his or her stated objectives.

 

  1. The reviewer should avoid personal or intemperate remarks or comments and confine the assessment to a fair treatment of the author and the book produced. 

 

  1. Avoid discussion of typographical errors or other minor flaws unless they contribute in a substantial way to the value of the book.

 

  1. At the close of your review your name and affiliation should be placed on separate, double-spaced lines and right justified.

 

  1. Your review does not need to have any special heading other than the title of the book and the author’s full name.  The editor will insert the book citation in proper form during the editing process.

 

  1. If the reviewer concludes the book should not be reviewed, please contact the editor as soon as possible.

 

  1. Mail or email your review to the editor at the address above.
